Kanagawa Wave Wall Clock

We love it when we find art in unlikely places. The great wave off Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai is possibly the most famous picture in Japanese art. It depicts three ships in heavy seas at the point of encountering the iconic wave. while Mount Fuji is visible in the distance. The print is today often shown today as the artistic depiction of a tsunami. It has even inspired songs like Debussy’s La Mer and literature such as Rilke’s poem Der Berg.
